The Process

Three Easy Steps:

Phase 1

After the Initial Consultation, CastleGate Design will begin putting together your floorplans based on the information we have previously discussed. We'll use the ideas and concepts and pictures and plans you have provided as a basis for where we start. Phase 1 usually takes 2-3 weeks to get the first conceptual rough floorplan ready for review. When available and if needed, we like to meet to review the first draft of the floorplans.

Phase 2

This is the 'Redline' Phase. This is the process of reviewing the plans, requesting changes, looking at options, trying different styles and designs. The Redline Phase is where we'll spend most of our time. General layout of the floorplans, room requirements and sizes, flow patterns, lighting, and the functionality of the spaces. We'll watch the target Square Footage. Later: rooflines, exteriors, doors and windows, and ceilings. Phase 2 can range from a several weeks to many, many months as needed.

Phase 3

This is the final step to get your final Construction Documentation. CastleGate Design will add the rest of the required information to the plans. We'll add things like all the dimensions, door and window schedules, detailed elevation views, section cuts, suggested framing and foundation plans, etc. At the end of Phase 3 we'll finalize the Plot Plan and the project will be complete!
